Michael Owen has fired a warning to England starlets Jack Wilshere and Andy Carroll over burn-out.
The duo have controversially been included in Stuart Pearce's provisional 40-man squad for this summer's European Under 21 championships.
But Owen has questioned whether selecting the pair, who have already earned full international caps, is a wise move.

Michael Owen showered praise on Manchester United team-mate Ryan Giggs as a host of Sir Alex Ferguson's players took to their Twitter accounts after all but sealing the Premier League title with victory over Chelsea.
Giggs was instrumental in United’s success, getting involved in the build up to Javier Hernandez's early opener and then crossing for Nemanja Vidic to head home, crushing the Blues’ title aspirations.
Not named amongst the substitutes on the day, Owen kept his Twitter followers up to speed with his views on the fixture, and in particular the performance of 37-year-old Giggs.

The club is run by supporters group City Fans United and its community mutual status means that the club is run for the benefit of the local community.
Michael, together with Andrew Black of Manor House Stables, were keen to offer their support and for Chester FC to progress up the league ‘back to where they belong’.
